Description
When used with radiation, it is also known as "bolus" material. Used in high energy radiation to correct for anatomical irregularities and deliver the prescribed dose to the patient's skin surface and underlying tissues without causing trauma. Closely mimics equivalent thickness of tissue if properly maintained.
